The Clontarf Castle Hotel is a perfect combination of boutique hotel and European castle. Our room was very modern in design and comfortable. We woke up to birds singing out our windows every morning! It is a little outside of the city, but the DART station is just a few blocks away, and the bus stop is even closer. We are a young couple and felt very comfortable walking back to the castle, even late in the evening. It is in a very nice residential area. The hotels restaurants and bar are also excellent. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

That it was in a castle

Said wi-fi worked everywhere in the hotel. It did not.

The room was excellent and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept in over the 5 days we spent in Ireland. We had previously stayed in three other hotels during the week. The food was also of a high standard both for dinner and breakfast.

The Bar area could be warmer and more welcoming as one side of it is very near to a main door which was left open during the day despite the fact that the tempature outside was only around 14c.

The original castle was beautiful and the staff were great.

The bed room was small and the bath soaps and shampoos were not quality enough for the image of the hotel.

Old world feel in very comfortable surroundings. Looking forward to staying there again. Interior design makes most of castle features. A really lovely place to stay!

To be honest I liked every aspect of the hotel. From the room to the bar. Great place

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very accomodating, especially with an early check in. The rooms were wonderful and the hotel is very clean. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was expensive and cold. The mini bar was also very expensive.

    Very nice breakfast. Comfortable.

Had trouble in my room getting the wifi to work, but staff remedied the situation nicely.

A friendly and tastefully furnished character hotel. Excellent for a short relaxing break.

We were disappointed that the extra bed for our young son was a camp bed which made the room too crammed. We would have expected a proper single bed.

We had a fabulous time in Clontarf castle, the evening meal was superb. The staff couldnt have been nicer, especially Robert who was part of the Reception team.

A slight downdside to the stay was that there was no bath. I enquired at reception if we could be moved to a room with a bath since we were on a romance package but was told that there wasnt any available and my fiancee was looking forward to having one. The following morning our buffet breakfast was very enjoyable but the food was very cold
